MANHATTAN, Kan. — Brennan Clay rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns and Trevor Knight threw for 171 to lead Oklahoma to a 41-31 victory over Kansas State Saturday at Snyder Family Stadium.

The 22nd-ranked Sooners improved to 9-2 overall and 6-2 in the Big 12 Conference with the victory. The Wildcats dropped to 6-5 and 4-4.

Knight, who made his third start of the season but first since Sept. 7, put together a polished performance. He was 14 of 20 with an early touchdown pass. He also threw a first-quarter interception.

However, OU’s ability to run the ball was greatly enhanced by the freshman quarterback. He rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown while the Sooners rushed for 301.

Kansas State quarterback Jake Waters threw for 348 yards and three touchdowns. All three went to Tyler Lockett, who finished the day with 278 receiving yards.
