JUCO defensive tackle Quincy Russell took a major step toward putting on an Oklahoma uniform. Russell wrote on his Facebook page Wednesday night that he has arrived in Norman.
The 2012 NJCAA first-team All-American signed with OU in December, but has had to wait for all his transcripts to be cleared before he can enroll.
The arrival of the 6-foot-4, 315-pound tackle is expected to strengthen a defensive line that appears light on depth, experience and skill.
OU coach Bob Stoops said earlier this week that Russell should be able to get up to speed quickly.
