NORMAN — Norman firefighters responded to a residential fire Thursday afternoon on the corner of Shiloh Drive and Pamela Circle, rescuing two dogs.
The fire was called in around 2 p.m. at 1707 Pamela Circle and firefighters had the fire extinguished in a matter of minutes, said Norman Fire Chief James Fullingim. Two dogs didn’t make it, but the two rescued were returned to the family, he said.
The fire damaged a bedroom, a hallway and part of the home’s attic. Everyone in the house made it out OK and no injuries were reported, Fullingim said.
A neighbor a few houses down said he called the fire in to police.
“I saw smoke coming out of the window and I saw the guy run out of the house and asked if he had it under control,” said neighbor Dylan Ricketts. “But everything started catching on fire.”
The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation by the Norman Fire Marshal’s Office.
