MOORE — Moore homes will be stronger with the adoption of tornado safe building codes by the Moore City Council tonight.
“The homebuilders are accepting this as a good thing,” said Marvin Haworth, Moore Home Builders Association. “We think this is going to improve the quality of homes in the Moore area. We feel like it is going to address the problems we have with tornadoes. We really know we need to address this. I think this is a good thing that we’re doing.”
The city council approved the adopting of 11 recommendations by Dr. Chris Ramseyer of the University of Oklahoma's Fears Structural Engineering Laboratory.
