DALLAS —  Big 12 Conference commissioner joked at the start of media days that he’d been at the hotel for 30 minutes and no one had asked him a realignment question.

“First time that’s happened,” he said.

Bob Bowlsby believes the Big 12 is entering a period of calm due to the “stability, strength and successes” of the league. He’s also pushing the financial the strength of being a 10-team league. Less teams means bigger pieces of the pie for the conference members.

“Things are settling down,” he said.
