NORMAN — The Associated Press reported Monday that at least six players, nationwide, were ejected for “targeting” and will be suspended for the second game of the college football season.
No OU players were called for the infraction in the Sooners' opening-day victory over Louiaiana-Monroe.
“We’ve had a couple of strong educational (meetings) in the week or two leading up to the game of 'This is what it is, this is what isn’t,'” Stoops said. “We had two different sessions of that, so they're aware of it."
"I don't know, from what I've seen over the weekend, I didn't notice it much. I think the more we're all aware of it, it will help clean up some of that and that's positive. We're moving in the right direction and we'll see where it goes.”
