Sooners top Crimson Tide in season opener

Hield scores 19 to help OU rally from early deficit

DALLAS — Oklahoma overcame a 16-point first-half deficit and rolled to an 82-73 victory over Alabama Friday.

Buddy Hield led the Sooners with a 19 points. Sophomore forward Ryan Spangler added 15 points and 12 rebounds while senior forward Cameron Clark tossed in 14 points. Freshman point guard Jordan Woodard finished with 10 points and a game-high seven assists.

Algie Key led the Crimson Tide with a game-high 20 points. Retin Obasohan added 14.
