Oklahoma added another big commitment for its 2014 recruiting class Thursday night. New Orleans three-star defensive tackle Courtney Garnett announced on Twitter he has committed to OU after an in-home visit with OU coach Bob Stoops and defensive line coach Jerry Montgomery.
Garnett, a 6-foot-2, 280-prospect from New Orleans’ St. Augustine High School, was a Texas commitment until the Longhorns made the coaching change in December. Garnett joins high school teammate offensive lineman Joseph Paul, who committed to the Sooners in early January.
Garnett also held offers from Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas A&M and USC.
All oral commitments are non-binding. Players can sign their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday.
