NORMAN — Only one year after Amy Blose was convicted of more than 20 felony counts, a judicial review for her sentencing took place in Cleveland County District Court on Thursday.

District Judge Lori Walkley, who originally sentenced 39-year-old Blose, stuck with her original sentence of 15 years, even though Blose had letters from case managers, her doctor and others that she exhibited good behavior during her incarceration. Blose was convicted with charges last year of rape and other lewd misconduct connected to her sexual relationship with a then 13-year-old boy.

The victims’ families couldn’t have been more happy when Judge Walkley stuck to her sentence of 15 years in jail.

“We’re very relieved,” said Stephanie Odle, a mother of one of the victims.

What Odle said they were concerned about was how something like this was even an option after being convicted of more than 20 felony counts.

“Lawmakers here we come,” she said.
