Oklahoma confirmed Friday that wide receiver/defensive back Trey Franks has decided to leave the program.
Franks, who just completed his redshirt junior season, graduated from OU last semester, spent his career shifting back and forth between wide receiver and safety. His biggest impact this past season was on special teams, where he returned five kickoffs for 117 yards and made six tackles.
He started the season as a safety, but moved back to offense halfway through the season. His lone start came against Baylor, but he did not catch a pass in 2013.
Franks was suspended for the 2012 season for a violation of team rules. His first two seasons were his most productive. Franks had 29 catches for 269 yards in 2010 as a freshman. In 2011, he finished with 22 catches for 196 yards.
