NORMAN — Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops has always named his starting quarterback prior to game week, and has indicated he will again this season. However, there seems to be a growing number of coaches refuses to do so.
Just in the Big 12 Conference, Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy and TCU Gary Patterson won’t name a starter prior to their season openers.
Around the country, USC, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Michigan State and North Carolina are some of the schools that won’t announce who their starting quarterback will be.
