NORMAN — Oklahoma returns to practice Monday. The team’s attitude will be will be important as it prepares for Saturday’s game against Iowa State and the rest of the season.

Last Thursday’s loss to Baylor buried the Sooners’ hopes of winning the Big 12 Conference. Any chance of playing in a BCS bowl game was also erased with the performance.

“We have to finish the year the best we can. Our players have had a good attitude throughout the year and I don’t expect that at all to change,” OU coach Bob Stoops said Monday on the Big 12 coaches teleconference.

He also said Blake Bell remains the starting quarterback, the Sooners have to become more productive throwing the ball. They’re now ninth in the conference in passing yards per game, averaging 195.3 yards per outing. Quarterback Blake Bell only threw for 150 yards against Baylor.

“We’ve gotta be able to throw the ball better,” Stoops said. We’ll continue to work on that.”
