Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said he didn’t know quarterback Blake Bell’s status for Saturday’s game at Kansas State.
“I don’t have an update, and when I am updated we’re gonna keep it ourselves,” he said.
Bell was injured early in the second quarter of the Sooners’ 48-10 victory over Iowa State last Saturday.
Redshirt freshman Trevor Knight led OU on five straight scoring drives — four touchdowns and a field goal — in the second half running the zone-read offense the Sooners employed early in the season.
The reason Stoops doesn’t want to reveal who its quarterback will be is he wants Kansas State to spend the week preparing for both quarterbacks.
