The Sooners played three Big 12 championship game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., in below freezing temperatures. They won all three beating Kansas State, 27-24, in 2000; Nebraska, 21-7, in 2006 and Missouri, 62-21, in 2008.

The temperature listed at kickoff for the 2003 Big 12 title game against Kansas State is listed as 39 degrees.

Just from looking at the boxscore’s from Bob Stoops’ 15 seasons as head coach there are no those three Big 12 title games are the only games with the temperature at kickoff listed below freezing.

The last time OU played a regular-season game with temperature below 40 degrees appears to be the 2007 Bedlam game at Owen Field. The temperature was 38 degrees for that 2:30 p.m. kickoff and OU rolled to a 49-17 victory.
