The Friday Night Live at First Baptist Church in Moore July 17 will feature Christian comedian and author Kenn Kington, who will present a comedy show and lead participants in a study of his book: "Searching for a Super Man/Watching for a Wonder Woman."
Friday's praise and worship will begin with a steak dinner 6:30 p.m. Friday, followed by Kington's comedy performance at approximately 7:15 p.m. and concluding around 10 p.m.
The event continues Saturday morning, with a 9 a.m. continental breakfast, followed by Kington's book study 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., a 10-minute break and concluding around noon. All events will take place in the church atrium.
"Searching for a Super Man/Watching for a Wonder Woman" is in its eighth printing and is the most popular of Kenn's literary works.
Cost of the event is $15, which includes the dinner and breakfast. Books may be purchased separately for $10.
Childcare will be provided Friday as part of Date Night childcare. Children need to eat prior to coming, the food is for singles only. It also is water games night, so participating children need to bring towels and swim suits. No childcare is offered Saturday.
Purchase of books is not required.
