Church hosts Rev. John Dear seminar

NORMAN — Reservations are being accepted for the Rev. John Dear’s seminar, “On the Nonviolent Life and Civil Disobedience.”

The free seminar is hosted by the United Church of Norman-UCC from 9 a.m. to noon April 5 at 1017 Elm Ave.

Dear is a former Jesuit priest and a leader of the Christian nonviolence peace movement. He has traveled the war zones of the world and has been arrested 75 times for civil disobedience. His most recent book is “The Nonviolent Life.”

Seating is limited; therefore, reservations are required and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Deadline for registration is March 30. Email kayholladay@cox.net to reserve a seat.
