NORMAN — Mardi Gras carnival set for Feb. 9

St. Joseph’s annual Mardi Gras carnival will be from 6 to 11 p.m. Feb. 9, at the parish center gymnasium, 421 E. Acres St. New Orleans cuisine and beverages, music by DJ Rosko, dancing and carnival games for kids all will be offered.

Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Tickets for children ages 6 to 12 are $5, and admission is free for children ages 5 and under. A $30 family ticket option also is available. For more information, call 321-8080.

Walking Camino Frances topic

of potluck Saturday at ULCSC

Ken Miner will host a travelog and video presentation Saturday at the University Lutheran Church and Student Center, 914 Elm Ave., on his journey last fall to walk Camino Frances, from France to Spain. The 1,000 year old pilgrimage route of 525 miles took 37 days for he and his friend to cover.

A potluck dinner precedes the presentation at 5:30 p.m.
