NORMAN — The Norman Ministerial Fellowship announces the upcoming Lenten services for the Norman community. Services begin at noon on Wednesday and will be held in various churches each Wednesday through March 27.

The Lenten services reflect the ecumenical spirit of Norman with 10 different churches participating, along with clergy related to the University of Oklahoma and Norman Regional Health Systems. Host churches will offer an expression of worship in their tradition and a brief homily will follow by a guest pastor. Services will conclude by 12:35 p.m. with a fellowship lunch provided afterward for the cost of $5. An offering will be taken at each service to benefit Among Friends, which is celebrating its 10th year of service in Norman. Among Friends is available for adults with disabilities who would like to meet new people, develop social skills and participate in activities.

The Fellowship has selected “Together to the Cross” as the theme for the Lenten services.
