NORMAN — Indian taco

sale today

The Norman First American United Methodist Church, 1950 Beaumont Drive, will host an Indian taco sale from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. today.

Cost for a taco and a drink is $7 and desserts are available for 50 cents each.

Church to host retired bishop

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 1601 W. Imhoff Road, will host the Retired Bishop Wallis Ohl to officiate at the services at 7:45 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday.  

Bishop Ohl was the first rector of St. Michael’s 37 years ago.

Stations of the Cross announced

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church invites members of the public to join in Stations of the Cross each Friday during Lent. Stations of the Cross will be offered in the chapel at 421 E. Acres St. at 6:30 p.m. in English and 7:30 p.m. in Spanish. A light Lenten meal will be served at 7 p.m. in the Metter Room of the Parish Center.

Bonus Year’s group

to meet Wednesday

Kathryn Selmon will speak at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church’s Bonus Years program at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Lunch will be served at noon at the church, 419 S. University Blvd.

Selmon and her family have been doing work in Rainbow Town, Liberia, West Africa. Their goal is to help educate and inform Oklahomans why resources are needed to send war-affected Liberian students to school.  

Reservation are needed to attend the luncheon and can be made by calling 321-3484.
