NORMAN — Alameda Church of Christ

Sunday, Senior Minister Rusty Tugman will continue “A Christmas Story” sermon series with the lesson “Savior.” The sermon text comes from Matthew 1:18-25.

Concord Missionary Baptist Church

Youth pastor Daniel Conditt will speak in the morning worship. The evening service will center on the book of Ephesians 6:5-9 as Pastor Clark speaks on “Serving Christ In The World.”

CrossPointe Church

Sunday, the congregation will worship and celebrate the goodness of God. An all-church fellowship will be at 5 p.m. with food, fellowship and singing of Christmas songs.

Echo Church

Sunday’s sermon will be titled “Shoes — The Story of John the Baptist.”

Faith Pointe Baptist Church

Pastor Gann will preach “I Know What You Got,” from Matthew 1:18-25.

First Baptist Church

Sunday’s topic will be “The Good News of Christmas.” Dr. Wade Smith will bring the sermon “The Good News of Peace” during the classic and LifeSong services. The annual First Family Christmas Concert will be held in the Sanctuary Sunday evening.

First Christian Church

Sunday is the second Sunday of Advent, with the candle of Peace lit by the Stoops Family in the 8:40 a.m. service and the Young Family in the 10:45 a.m. service. Sunday’s sermon is titled “Peace — The Irony of Good News” based on Luke 3: 1-6 with the Rev. David Spain preaching.

First Church of Christ, Scientist

Sunday’s sermon title is “God the Perserver of Man.”

First Presbyterian Church

On the second Sunday of Advent, a service of Advent lessons and carols will be at 11 a.m. with all the church choirs leading in worship. A living Nativity will be in front of the church beginning at 5 p.m. followed at 5:30 p.m. with the all-church Christmas dinner in Alexander Hall.

  Goodrich Memorial United

Methodist Church

The Sunday school classes will share “What Christmas Means to Me” in their Christmas pageant. The pageant also will feature children singing familiar Christmas music. The Goodrich Chronologically Gifted Chorus will sing at the 8:30 a.m. service. There also will be a solo from the Messiah at each service.
