NORMAN — In the spirit of giving, the Cleveland County Habitat for Humanity ReStore, in conjunction with McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church, will host a furniture donation drive to benefit East Main Place.

Donation items such as home decór, dressers, twin- and full-sized beds and frames, couches and dining tables with chairs can be dropped off at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church, 419 S. University Blvd., in Fenn Hall, beginning Monday.

The furniture drive will continue until Dec. 15.

“Folks can drop off donations at Fenn Hall at McFarlin all week long,” said Mike Jenkins, Habitat ReStore manager. “We will provide pick-up service around Norman on that Saturday (Dec. 15.)”

The pick-up service will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 15. To arrange for items to be picked up, call 360-7868 or 321-3484.

All furniture donations go to East Main Place to furnish transitional living apartments.

“East Main Place sends all the furniture from the apartments they provide with their clients when they have completed a year with the program and move into their own place. Currently, they are struggling with furnishing the apartments for their new clients. We want to help them get those apartments furnished with the help of the Norman community,” Jenkins said. “McFarlin has a great track record of working with nonprofits, and they are eager to help us get this going.”
