NORMAN — Producers of “King’s Faith” will offer a free one-night showing at the Moore Warren theater at 7 p.m. July 16 and 23.
Free tickets are available at the theater box office. Those attending the film also can show their movie ticket at the concession stand to receive a free Little Rascal combo of popcorn and a drink.
“‘King’s Faith’” is about second chances and healing,” said director Nicholas DiBella. “After the tornado, so many people in the area are hurting, dealing with loss and trying to rebuild their lives. We want to, in some small way, give them a break from all that. Give them some quality time with their families or friends watching a movie. And maybe through it, they’ll find a little healing.”
King’s Faith (PG-13) tells the story of a foster couple who cares for Brendan King (Crawford Wilson), an 18-year old attempting to leave his turbulent gang life behind him, but his past continues to threaten his new-found faith, family, and future.
“King’s Faith” stars Emmy Award winning actress Lynn Whitfield (“Eve’s Bayou,”), Crawford Wilson (“Judging Amy,”), Kayla Compton (“Entourage”), and James McDaniel (“Malcolm X,”).
The film is produced by DiBella and Faith Street Film Partners LLC, a Rochester, NY-based collective of investors and supporters.
