NORMAN — For the past 51 years, the Men’s Prayer Breakfast has been meeting every Wednesday at McFarlin United Methodist Church, 419 S. University Blvd.
Many denominations are represented in the membership of the group. Again this year during Holy Week, an ecumenical program, will be conducted.
On Monday, Stan Ward will introduce Judge of the Court Appeals Bill Hetherington.
On Tuesday, Judge Stephen Bonner will introduce Father James Goins of Saint Thomas More University Parish.
On Wednesday, John Dufran will introduce the Rev. Linda Harker of McFarlin.
On Thursday, Preston Trimble will introduce University of Oklahoma Professor of Jewish history Carsten Schapkow.
On Friday, OU student Emily Allan will introduce Mark Wood, M.D.
Everyone is invited to attend the services. A free breakfast will be served at 5:45 a.m. Registration is not necessary. Those planning to eat breakfast are asked to notify Joe Sanders at 294-0033 or 613-0479.
The devotion starts at 6:30 a.m. When the devotion ends, the group will ask for individual prayer requests and will close around 7 a.m.
