NORMAN — Alameda Church of Christ

Sunday, Senior Minister Rusty Tugman will continue the “Encounters with Jesus” sermon series with the lesson “From Guilt to Gratitude.”

Concord Missionary Baptist Church

“Touching Jesus” is the theme of the morning sermon and worship. Pastor Clark will preach from Luke 8:46. The evening sermon will be delivered by Colton Clark as the youth of the church lead in the worship.

CrossPointe Church

Sunday will continue the series “Ordinary.” A new worship experience will begin at 5 p.m.

Echo Church

This week will begin the series “The Joy Genome,” from 1 Philippians.

First Baptist Church

Sunday will be the annual Run the Race combined worship service in the sanctuary. Kenny Mossman Sr., associate athletic director at the University of Oklahoma, will be the pulpit guest. Athletes from the Fellowship of Christian Athletes will lead in worship as well.

First Christian Church

Sunday’s sermon is titled “Where Are We Headed?” based on Mark 10:46-52 with the Rev. David Spain preaching at both morning services.

First Church of Christ, Scientist

Sunday’s sermon topic will be “Everlasting Punishment.”

First Presbyterian Church

On Reformation Sunday and Stewardship Kick-off, Dr. Bob Rice will preach a sermon titled “Getting and Giving” based on Luke 12:13-21 at both morning services.

Goodrich Memorial United

Methodist Church

Sunday, Pastor Jim Shepherd’s sermon is titled “A Response to Wonder,” based on 1 Chronicles 16:27-29.

Grace Presbyterian Church

Sunday, the Rev. Todd Dole will preach from John 6:16-20, “Jesus Walks on Water.” Sunday evening, Dole will preach from 1 Peter 1:22-2:3, “Love From A Pure Heart.”

Holy Ascension Orthodox Church

Sunday is the 21st Sunday after Pentecost in Tone 4/Eothinon 10. The Saints of the day are the Martyrs Terence and Neonilla. The Orthros Gospel is from Saint John 21:1-14. The Divine Liturgy Epistle is from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Galatians 12:16-20 and the Gospel is from Saint Luke 8:41-56.
