NORMAN — Organizational meeting set

Those interested in launching an Anglican congregation in Norman are invited to attended an organizational meeting at 7 tonight at the Norman Public Library, 225 Webster St.

The congregation will not be a clone of other churches but will be founded on the Word and the Sacraments. During the meeting, organizers will explain the mission and vision of the church.

Church to offer Financial Peace

Wildwood Community Church, 1501 24th Ave. NE., will offer a Financial Peace University class, beginning at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

The class runs nine weeks and the cost for participating is $89 per family, paid directly to Dave Ramsey’s organization for the materials received and used in the course.

Service of Remembrance Sunday

First Presbyterian Church, 555 S. University Blvd., will offer a Service of Remembrance, for all in the Norman community who have lost loved ones in 2012, at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the chapel.

The Rev. Mike Bumgarner, chaplain at Norman Regional Hospital, will give a meditation titled “Temporary” based on 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. A reception will follow.

Bingo tonight at St. Joseph’s

Friday Night Bingo at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church will be at 7 tonight.

Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The menu is talapia, fries, coleslaw, cake and beverage.
