NORMAN — McFarlin to host golf tournament

McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church’s third annual indoor miniature golf tournament will begin at 4 p.m. on Feb. 17 in Fenn Hall, 419 S University Blvd., for families with young children. At 5 p.m., competition for prizes will begin.

Tickets are $5 per person with a $15 maximum per family. The ticket will enable the holder to play golf and includes a dinner of hamburgers or hotdogs, chips, all the condiments and cookies. Prizes to individuals and families will be awarded to the winning golfers.

Tickets may be purchased from any UMM member or on Sundays in the atrium. Tickets also will be available at the door.

Groundbreaking planned Sunday

Following the Sunday service at NorthHaven Church, 4600 36th Ave. NW, there will be a groundbreaking service for the Youth and Children Education Wing.

A fellowship potluck will follow the groundbreaking service.

Singles group to meet Feb. 15

The singles of First Baptist Church of Moore, 301 NE 27th St., will host Friday Night Live for Him at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15.

There will be time of praise, worship and teaching with recreation to follow until 10 p.m. Guests will be The Good News Brothers. There is an optional dinner for $5 at 6:30 p.m.

St. Michael’s

prepares for Lent

A Mardi Gras dinner will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 1601 W. Imhoff Road.

The food will be Cajun style. Gluten free and children’s food also will be available.

The celebration precedes Lent on Ash Wednesday.

Annual silent auction Monday

The annual silent auction and Valentine children’s program for Trinity Lutheran School, 603 Classen Blvd., will be 6 p.m. Monday.
