Gober, a junior from Newcastle, Okla., became a two-time all-American and three-time all-conference performer. Gober produced 12.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.78 blocks and 1.50 steals a game in 2011-12. She ranked second nationally with 91 treys and 16th in 3-point field-goal percentage (38.1 percent).
Gober’s season highs included 24 points vs. Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) in the first round of the national tournament, 11 rebounds three times, five 3-pointers three times and five blocks vs. Lubbock Christian (Texas) in the semifinals. Gober recorded 15.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.80 blocked shots a contest during the national tournament. She enters her senior year having already scored 1,201 points and grabbed 507 rebounds as a Star.
Goldwire, a senior from Oklahoma City, had been named a second-team all-SAC selection. Goldwire averaged 10.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.91 steals while shooting 55.1 percent from the field.
Her season highlights included a 22-point, 10-rebound game against Northwestern Oklahoma State on Jan. 2 where she hit all eight of her shots from the floor and all four free throws. Goldwire pulled down 12 rebounds three times. Goldwire totaled 9.4 points and 5.6 rebounds a game during the national tournament.
Davis, a senior from Guthrie, Okla., became a two-time NAIA scholar-athlete award winner. Davis also shared the SAC sportsmanship award. She contributed 2.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.92 steals a game.
Edmisson ran his record to 212-31 with five SAC regular-season championships and five SAC Tournament crowns in seven years at OCU. His 200th win with the Stars came Feb. 2 vs. St. Gregory’s. Edmisson’s win total is 11 shy of Bob Colon, who has the most women’s basketball wins coaching for OCU. He shared the SAC coach of the year award this season for his third nod from the league.
Overall, Edmisson has a 514-150 record in 22 years coaching. Edmisson notched his 400th victory between his OCU and Hutchinson (Kan.) totals in the first round of the national tournament against Our Lady of the Lake (Texas).
