T-Wolves returning to full strength: With a showdown on tap today against one of the four teams that have beat Norman North this season, the Timberwolves are happy just to be nearing full strength.
North had been playing without three key players in Bri Kuestersteffen, Sam Landreth and Julian Mougell. Kuestersteffen and Landreth both missed several games with concussions, while Mougell was thought lost for the season after tearing some tendons in her ankle two weeks ago.
But Kuestersteffen and Landreth both successfully returned to the lineup on Tuesday, while Mougell was able to spend a few minutes on the floor.
“She’s got a long way to go still, but it was nice to see her out there,” coach Jeff Bough said of Mougell after Tuesday’s win over Westmoore. “We’re hopeful we’ll have her back for the playoffs.”
It’s a good sign for the T-Wolves as they host Southmoore at 3 p.m. today. The 16th-ranked SaberCats (10-8) defeated North 55-47 in the second game of the season.
