The Norman Transcript
Two Transcript area football teams hoping to advance into the postseason’s third week will have to wait at least another day to get the chance.
Westmoore, which was to meet Lawton High at Cameron Stadium in Lawton Friday has had its Class 6A quarterfinal round game moved to noon today at the same location.
Also, Washington, which was to meet Hennessey in Class 2A’s round-of-16 Friday, has had its game moved to 1 p.m. today on the Hennessey campus.
The decisions were made as a nod to inclement weather, which has turned below freezing in many parts of the state with freezing rains and hazardous roads.
Two other 6A playoff games were also pushed back until today. Edmond North at Union and Midwest City at Jenks.
Washington is across the bracket from the Vian/Salina matchup which was played Friday night in Vian, but results were not available at press time.
