OKLAHOMA CITY —
And, even for the starters, there was still plenty on the line.
“I had to redeem myself this week after dropping a couple passes last week,” said Basquine, who juked his way to a touchdown in the first quarter to open the scoring barrage. “It was nice to take care of our business this week. We tried to treat this game like Grant was Edmond North.”
Unfortunately for North, they aren’t. Edmond North is a favorite to win District 6A-3, and it’s a team with few holes. The two teams will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the game of the year to date.
“We know that’s a big game,” Basquine said. “And we’re ready going into next week.”
