T-Wolves back to form in win

NORMAN — With most of its varsity roster back on the field, Norman North got back to its winning ways on Tuesday, taking the second of a two-game series 11-4 in Lawton.

After falling 20-11 on Monday, North jumped out to a 4-2 lead and extended it from there, taking an 8-3 lead into the final inning before finishing with another three-run burst to lock up the game.

Brad Kinsey earned the victory for North, striking out seven while allowing just four hits despite six errors in the field.

“To have Brad throw five innings like that without a lot of help behind him, that’s a really good outing,” head coach Brian Aylor said. “He kept us in the game.”

Aylor also credited the top of his lineup for keying the offense.

Leadoff batter Luke Jones led the way, going 3 for 4 and scoring four runs.

Next up for North is a 5 p.m. home game Thursday against Tuttle.

Norman High 6, Southmoore 4: A big third inning led the way for NHS, and the Tigers used that to their advantage in a 6-4 win over Southmoore.

Trailing 1-0, NHS got the bats going and scored five in the third inning to take control of the game.

Austin Stewart pitched six innings and allowed just three earned runs to pick up the win.
