Midwest City’s Louis Parker led everybody with 16 points. Daryck Jones added 10 and Mikey Smith and Cedric Fair both added nine for the Bombers.
North played with one of the nation’s best teams — USA Today ranks Midwest City No. 14 — for a good portion of the game, but the Bombers’ athleticism, and the defensive pressure it produced, was the deciding factor. North turned the ball over 16 times. Most of them were forced and led to Bomber points.
Community Christian boys 70, Maysville 24: CCS cruised to a big victory over Maysville on Tuesday night behind a dominating defensive effort in the first half.
The Royals held Maysville to a two-point second quarter to secure a 27-10 first-half lead. They extended that in the second half behind 19 points from Aaron Baker and 10 points each from Jay Seymour and Blake Nelson.
