Box cited by Norman police Transcript Staff The Norman Transcript Oklahoma linebacker Austin Box was cited for outraging public decency early Saturday morning by the Norman Police Department.
Box, who will be a redshirt sophomore next season, was seen urinating outside a Norman restaurant at 759 Asp Ave by Norman police at 1:55 a.m. Saturday. Box was allowed to sign a citation and was released. Box played in 10 games last season and made 36 tackles. He made five starts at middle linebacker midway through the season, but was slowed by a late-season knee injury. The Sooners begin spring practice today. Box will miss spring practice to elbow surgery.
