PARIS — Oklahoma’s basketball trip through western Europe rolled into France Wednesday and the Sooners cruised to another victory.
Behind a game-high 23 points from forward Cameron Clark, OU picked up a 109-64 victory over La St. Charles, a local team from Charenton/St. Maurice.
Junior D.J. Bennett and sophomores Isaiah Cousins and Ryan Spangler each scored 14 points, while sophomore Je’lon Hornbeak and senior Tyler Neal contributed 11 points each. Bennett (13 rebounds) and Neal (11 rebounds) each finished with double-doubles.
It was OU’s fourth of five games during the trip, but first since playing in Belgium over the weekend.
“After three or four days of not playing, it was good to see the activity and the energy (tonight),” OU coach Lon Kruger said. “I thought the guys really bounced out and were really quick out of the backcourt with the ball. They were very active on the boards, moved the ball well again. A lot of different guys played well individually, and we played well as a team.”
OU concludes its five-game European exhibition tour at 1 p.m. today against Evreaux in France. The Sooners will return home Friday.
