Too much to take in, unless you clone yourself

NORMAN — This is going to be a little self serving, a ploy to help keep track of it all, because this week and next are the two busiest sports weeks of the year and it’s pretty impossible to keep track of it all.

Also, you really should be aware of it, because you might want to check some of it out, or you might be one of those lucky people who need not work for a living, in which case you could check some of it out every day. You just can’t check all of it out every day.

Trust me.

· Today you can check out regional tennis in Oklahoma City, where the Norman North and Westmoore girls will be playing. Or, if you’re dying to visit Bixby, and who isn’t, you can go there for Norman High and Southmoore.

If you go to Bixby, though they’re not really that close, you could go watch some regional golf at Bailey Ranch in Owasso, because that’s where the NHS and Southmoore boys will be. Or, if you’re dying for golf, and don’t want to drive quite so far, the North, Moore and Westmoore boys will be at Lakeside in Stillwater.

We’re just getting started.

· Tuesday brings us Class 6A’s prep soccer playoffs, with double-barrel action at NHS and North and, if everybody wins, Friday we’ll get two Crosstown Clash soccer games at North. As it is, we’re almost certain to get a boys Clash and, not kidding, I don’t know who I’d pick in the game.

You don’t like soccer? No problem, because the girls Class 6A state golf tournament tees off Tuesday in Ponca City, where Norman North’s Kaitlin Milligan, Norman High’s Tess Hartog and Southmoore’s entire team will be playing.
