NORMAN — Oklahoma’s 2015 recruiting class swelled with another commitment from a consensus four-star recruit.
Katy, Texas, running back Rodney Anderson became the fifth four-star recruit to give his verbal pledge to the Sooners on Sunday.
Anderson (6-foot-1, 205 pounds) is Rivals.com’s No. 80 overall player, No. 3 running back and 11th best player in Texas. ESPN.com ranks him as the 263rd best player in the Class of 2015.
The list of offers for the Katy High School senior-to-be was lengthy. He held offers from Auburn, Baylor, LSU, Michigan State, Texas and recently de-committed from Texas A&M.
Anderson joins Pflugerville (Henderson High School), Texas, cornerback P.J. Mbanasor; Jenks defensive tackle Marquise Overton; Allen, Texas, offensive tackle Bobby Evans and Dallas South Oak Cliff safety Jamile Johnson as four-star recruits that have verbally pledged to sign with OU in February.
