Lin said he was hurting on Sunday and didn’t know if he’d be ready for Monday.
“That’s a big decision for us to make,” McHale said. “I know Jeremy really wants to play, but he could not do a lot of stuff last night. We’re going to have to wait and see, because it doesn’t do any good for him to play if he can’t help us.”
Though Durant carried the team on Saturday night, the Thunder also got a big contribution from Serge Ibaka, who finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
In the days leading up to Game 3, Brooks discussed the need for everyone to do a little more to make up for Westbrook being out. Ibaka did just that, making key plays down the stretch to help Oklahoma City secure the win.
“Serge had some very big moments last night, just his presence around the basket, his offensive rebounds, his shot-making ability,” Brooks said. “He’s understanding the game much more as the years have gone by ... his game last night, if we didn’t have it it would have been a tough game for us to win.”
