NOBLE — The Noble girls remain perfect.
They scored two goals in the first half against Northwest Classen before pouring it on in the second and walking out of their own stadium with a 6-0 victory Tuesday.
Also, holding the Knights scoreless, the Bears claimed their 13th shutout of the season. To date, Noble opponents have managed a single goal in 14 games.
Not that it was a work of art.
“We were a little sloppy in the first half. We missed a penalty kick and several other chances, but I think nerves had a lot to do with it,” Noble coach Larry Warden said. “It was our biggest crowd of the year.”
Jesse Goodner scored the first of her two goals 25 minutes into the game to put the Bears on top for good. Gracie Jonas followed with the first of her two goals with one second remaining in the first half.
Julianne Williamson added a goal and an assist. Antonia Alexander scored the game’s final goal and Ryan Barnes finished with two assists.
The Bears, having matched their longest playoff run simply by routing the Knights, will try to make it 15 straight wins at 7 p.m. Friday when Carl Albert visits.
