Four more drafted

Oklahoma football coach Bob Stoops doesn’t have a first-round pick to crow about this season, but he’s got a slew of guys headed to the next level.

Only offensive lineman Phil Loadholt, taken by Minnesota with the 54th overall pick, was taken on Day 1 of the NFL draft. Sunday, he was joined by Juaquin Iglesias in the third round, Nic Harris and Duke Robinson in the fifth round and Manny Johnson in the seventh round.

Iglesias, No. 99 overall by the Chicago Bears, and Johnson, No. 229 overall by the Dallas Cowboys, make it eight Sooner wide receivers to be drafted during the Stoops’ era.

Harris, the 147th overall pick, is headed to Buffalo, where he is slated to become a linebacker after playing as a safety throughout his time with the Sooners.

Robinson, the 163rd overall pick, is headed to Carolina. The first Sooner ever taken by the Panthers, only the Houston Texans have never chosen an OU product.

Many more former Sooners may soon be signing free agent contracts with NFL teams.
