Still some critical games left to play

NORMAN —

The scenarios for Southmoore to make the postseason play out as such:

— If Southmoore beats Mustang, Lawton beats NHS and Edmond Memorial beats Putnam City West, district points will decide which of the two teams make the postseason and in which position.

— If Southmoore beats Mustang, Lawton beats NHS and Putnam City West beats Edmond Memorial, the SaberCats will finish third.

— If Southmoore beats Mustang, NHS beats Lawton and Putnam City West beats Edmond Memorial, the SaberCats will finish third. If Edmond Memorial instead beats Putnam City West, the SaberCats will finish fourth.

— If Mustang beats Southmoore, NHS beats Lawton and Putnam City West beats Edmond Memorial, Mustang will finish third and district point will decide which of the three remaining teams finishes fourth.

District 5A-3

Noble (5-4, 3-3) travels to Shawnee on Friday, and the winner will finish fourth in the district and make the playoffs.

District 3A-1

Little Axe (3-6, 1-4) will wrap up its season on Friday with a trip to Mount St. Mary. Blanchard sits atop the loaded district with a 5-0 district record, with Jones and Tuttle both also locking up a playoff spot.

District 3A-4

Purcell (3-6, 1-5) will end its season by hosting Atoka, with the district’s four playoff spots already decided.

District 2A-4

Lexington (7-2, 5-1) is guaranteed second place in the district, and the Bulldogs have an off-week in Week 10 before opening the playoffs.

District 2A-3

Washington (6-3, 5-1) hosts Lindsay on Friday, with the winner earning second place in the district behind Frederick. If Washington loses to Lindsay, the Warriors will finish third.

Community Christian

CCS (8-1) will join the OSSAA in a few years, but for now the Royals will wrap up their season Friday by hosting Canyon Creek.
