OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Corporation Commission says about 5,100 homes and businesses remain without power across the state following winter storms that brought snow, sleet and ice across Oklahoma.
The commission says most of the outages are in southeast Oklahoma with Choctaw Electric Cooperative reporting about 4,000 without electricity in the Hugo area.
Public Service Company of Oklahoma reports nearly 875 outages in the Antlers area while Arkansas Valley Electric has about 200 outages in Pocola and Roland and Southeastern Electric Cooperative has about 75 outages in Durant area.
Crews from at least 8 different Electric Cooperatives from across Oklahoma are assisting in the restoration effort at Choctaw Electric Cooperative.
At the height of the storm on Friday there were more than 9,300 homes and businesses without power.
