OKLAHOMA CITY — Jurors hearing a first-degree manslaughter case have visited the site where a Del City police captain is accused of fatally shooting an 18-year-old last year.
The visit happened Thursday morning in the case of Capt. Randy Harrison and lasted about 10 minutes.
Harrison, a 23-year veteran officer in the Oklahoma City suburb, has pleaded not guilty in the shooting death of Dane Scott Jr. Harrison could face up to life in prison if convicted.
Harrison’s defense attorney, Doug Friesen, objected to the trip taking place before Harrison testified in the case, but Judge Donald Deason continued as planned, citing possible bad weather moving into the area.
