OKLAHOMA CITY — A Newalla man is Oklahoma’s newest millionaire after claiming a $2 million Powerball prize.
Oklahoma lottery officials say William Gandy claimed his prize Tuesday. Gandy matched five white balls and added the Power Play option, which turned his original $1 million win into $2 million.
The winning ticket was bought at a store in Newalla.
Gandy said he plans to put the money toward his retirement and setting up a trust fund for his three grandchildren. He plans to keep working.
This is the third $2 million winning ticket sold in Oklahoma in the past four Powerball drawings.
