TINKER AIR FORCE BASE — More than 20 Reserve airmen from the 507th Air Refueling Wing have returned to Tinker Air Force Base after a five-month deployment to southwest Asia.
The airmen returned Monday after supporting operations of the U.S. Central Command.
The 507th Air Refueling Wing operates and maintains KC-135R “Stratotanker” aircraft — which provides in-flight refueling to U.S. Military and NATO aircraft. The group makes up about one-third of the total number of 507th ARW reservists deployed.
The group is the second to return this year and more reservists are due back later this month.
