TULSA — Authorities say a police officer at Tulsa International Airport opened fire on a car in the parking lot of a hotel adjacent to the airport’s main terminal building.

Police said the car’s driver allegedly attempted to run over the police officer. Authorities said the incident happened at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of a Hilton Garden Inn, which is on airport property.

The Tulsa World reported that there were no injuries.

The newspaper said police interviewed and released the 38-year-old man driving the car. The Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force later located the man and arrested him on several warrants, including auto theft and concealing stolen property.
