Norman Hi-Noon Business

and Professional Women

Norman Hi-Noon Business and Professional Women meet at noon the second and fourth Wednesday at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center, 300 W. Comanche St., second floor.

The club meets to provide networking opportunities and to share ideas, concerns and solutions on a variety of professional and personal topics. For more information, call Denise Heavner at 366-0299.

You are invited to attend the Norman Hi-Noon Business and Professional Women meeting on Wednesday, May 28th at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center, 300 W. Comanche, 2nd Floor at 12 o’clock noon.

Central Oklahoma Water Garden Society, Inc.

The Central Oklahoma Water Garden Society, Inc. meets 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month, April through September. Guest speakers will discuss various topics, garden pond ideas and problems will be discussed and desserts will be shared. Membership is free and visitors are welcome.

The next meeting will be June 5 at Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church, 200 W. Hayes St. Tracey Payton, OSU Extension Center horticulturist, will give a presentation on container gardening.

Membership is free and visitors are always welcome to share desserts and brainstorm ideas and problems.

Daytime Grief

Support Group

Heartland Hospice and Rambling Oaks Assisted Living are partnering together to offer a daytime grief support group 3 p.m. Thursdays at Rambling Oaks, 1060 Rambling Oaks Dr.

The group will be led Heartland Hospice Bereavement Coordinator Shae Keen and Chaplain Harry Smith.

Embroiderers

Guild of America

Anyone interested in embroidery in any of its many forms is invited to become a part of the Norman Chapter of The Embroiderers’ Guild of America. The evening group meets 7 to 9 p.m. the second Monday and the day group meets 1 to 3 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are in Room 401 at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church. Norman Stamp Club

The Norman Stamp Club meets 7 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 235 W. Duffy St.



Norman Area Iris Society

The Norman Area Iris Society meets 7 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month at the Reaves Center in Reaves Park. Anyone interested in iris cultivation or gardening may attend.



Sweet Adelines

International

The Spirit of Oklahoma Show Chorus, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, rehearses 7 p.m. Tuesdays at New Life Bible Church, 4343 N. Flood Ave. Ladies who enjoy singing are welcome to attend. For more information, call 627-4241.

Sooner Rotary meets 7 a.m. Tuesdays at Golden Corral Family Steakhouse, 123 N. Interstate Drive.



NAMI

National Alliance on Mental Illness Cleveland County, a United Way member agency, support groups For families of individuals with a mental illness meets the first Tuesday of each month. Mental health educational sessions are held every third Tuesday.

All meetings are at 7 p.m. at the Edsel Ford House, 107 State Drive (located off Main Street in front of Griffin hospital. No registration or fees are required. For more information call 701-2078 or namicc@csbi.org.



Norman Kiwanis

The Norman Kiwanis Club meets 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays with a luncheon, club news and a speaker in the activity room of the First Christian Church, 220 S. Webster Ave.

Taize Style Service meets 7-8 p.m. the second Tuesday of every month in the Sanctuary of McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church and will focus on year-round worship with seasonal emphases and expanded visual centered around the Altar.

Northern Flyer Alliance will meet 10 a.m. May 31 in the Nora Sparks Warren Memorial Library in Pauls Valley.
