Norman Galaxy of Writers

The Norman Galaxy of Writers will meet 10 a.m. Saturday at University Lutheran Church, 914 Elm Ave. Galaxy is an affiliation of the Oklahoma Writers Federation. Meetings are open to the public and all persons interested in writing for publication. For more information, call 321-8834.



Norman WomenEntrepreneurs Network

Full Circle Caregivers

Central Oklahoma Water Garden Society, Inc.

The Central Oklahoma Water Garden Society, Inc. meets 7 p.m. Thursday at Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church, 200 W. Hayes St. Tracey Payton, OSU Extension Center horticulturist, will give a presentation on container gardening. Problems will be discussed and desserts will be shared. Norman Chapter Parents Helping Parents

The Norman Chapter of Parents Helping Parents will meet 7 p.m. June 12 at the Education Center at Norman Regional Hospital, 901 N. Porter St. Associate District Judge Stephen Bonner will speak on the establishment of the family drug court program which will serve Cleveland County beginning in the fall of 2008.

Guild of America

Anyone interested in embroidery in any of its many forms is invited to become a part of the Norman Chapter of The Embroiderers’ Guild of America. NAMI

National Alliance on Mental Illness Cleveland County, a United Way member agency, support groups for families of individuals with a mental illness meets the first Tuesday of each month. Mental health educational sessions are held every third Tuesday.

Taize Style Service

Taize Style Service meets 7-8 p.m. the second Tuesday of every month in the Sanctuary of McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church and will focus on year-round worship with seasonal emphases and expanded visual centered around the Altar.
