NORMAN — University of Oklahoma students, faculty and staff will participate in the Oklahoma Blood Institute Spring Bedlam Blood Battle from Feb. 17-21.
Anyone who is 16 years or older and in good health is encouraged to donate. Sixteen-year-olds must weigh at least 125 and provide signed parental permission; 17-year-olds must weigh at least 125 pounds; and those 18 or older must weigh at least 110 pounds.
The drive will be on the OU campus at the ROTC Armory next to the stadium from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Donors will receive a free OU Blood Donor T-shirt, while supplies last, health screenings and donor rewards points. Free snacks will be provided.
Oklahoma Blood Institute has partnered with OU and Sooner Sports Properties as an Associate Sponsor of the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Bedlam Series.
Oklahoma Blood Institute is the ninth largest, nonprofit blood center in the United States. Its donors provide every drop of blood needed by patients in all Oklahoma City-metro area hospitals and 144 medical facilities across Oklahoma.
