Sam Noble to offer spring docent training

NORMAN — This spring semester, the volunteer department will offer docent training for three of Sam Noble Museum of Natural HIstory’s galleries: the Hall of the People of Oklahoma, the Hall of Ancient Life and the Hall of Natural Wonders.

Each docent training program will include a tour of the gallery, hands-on gallery interpretive instruction and principles on gallery lectures. Three shadowing sessions with an experienced docent will be provided.

Training begins Saturday for the Hall of the People of Oklahoma; March 1 for the Hall of Ancient Life; and March 8 for the Hall of Natural Wonders.
