University to host fall convocations

NORMAN — Pictures will be taken, caps will be donned, and tears may be shed today and Saturday as University of Oklahoma graduates are recognized at their college convocations.

During the various ceremonies, candidates’ names will be announced, and they will be presented a diploma cover by their college dean.

The schedule of Convocations and Recognition Ceremonies is as follows:

· College of Arts and Sciences convocation: Graduation candidates will be recognized at 6:30 p.m. today at the Lloyd Noble Center, 2900 S. Jenkins Ave. For more information, call Kristi Morgan at 325-2347.

· College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences Graduation candidate dinner: Graduation candidates will be recognized at 7 p.m. today at the National Weather Center, 120 David L. Boren Blvd. For more information, call Mary Anne Hempe at 325-3095.

· Aviation Undergraduate Programs: Graduation candidates will be recognized during the Michael F. Price College of Business Convocation. An informal reception for aviation graduates will be hosted following the convocation from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Max Westheimer Airport Aviation Department Hangar, 1700 Lexington St.. · Michael F. Price College of Business convocation: Graduation candidates will be recognized at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the T. Howard McCasland Field House. A reception will immediately follow in Price Hall. For more information, call Alisa Tillman at 325-8024.

· Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy Graduation convocation: Graduation candidates will be recognized at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Oklahoma Memorial Union in Meacham Auditorium, 900 Asp. Ave. A reception will immediately follow in Beaird Lounge. For more information, call Liz Ehrhardt at 325-4005.

· Jeannie Rainbolt College of Education convocation: Graduation candidates will be recognized at 2 p.m. Saturday at the T. Howard McCasland Field House. A reception will immediately follow in Lissa and Cy Wagner Hall. For more information, call Christine Frank at 325-4844.

· College of Engineering convocation: Graduation candidates will be recognized at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Oklahoma Memorial Union in the Molly Shi Boren Ballroom, 900 Asp Ave. For more information, call Susy Calonkey at 325-1069.
